Can I try it before I pay?
Yes. The Starter plan is free forever, genuinely useful for monitoring one child on ChatGPT. Your family's first paid subscription includes a 14-day free trial with full Premium access while you decide; cancel any time during the trial and you won't be charged.

Anytime. Upgrade when your family grows, downgrade if you need to. Changes take effect immediately and we'll prorate any difference.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Your children's profiles and any alerts stay exactly as they are; children above your new plan's limit are paused, not deleted. History is the one thing that changes: summaries and usage stats are kept for your plan's insights window, so after a downgrade anything older than your new window ages out. Our privacy policy lists the exact windows.
Is monitoring really unlimited?
Yes. There are no message caps on any plan, and ordinary family use is never metered or cut off. Plans differ by how many children you can cover, which AI platforms we monitor, and how much insight you get, never by how much we monitor or how good the safety engine is.
Which AI platforms do you monitor?
Starter covers ChatGPT. Paid plans cover all 12: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, Perplexity, Character.AI, DeepSeek, Duck.ai, Janitor AI, PolyBuzz, SpicyChat. That includes the companion and roleplay apps most tools ignore, and we add new platforms as they become popular with kids.
Do you offer discounts for annual billing?
Yes. Annual billing saves 25–31% (Solo £44.99, Family £84.99, Premium £149.99 per year; around 3–4 months free depending on plan).
What currency will I be charged in?
Pounds sterling, wherever you are. We serve the UK, New Zealand and Australia, and everyone pays the same sterling price. UK prices include VAT. Outside the UK there's no VAT to pay, but your bank may add its own currency conversion fee, so check what it charges before you subscribe.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime from your account settings. No hoops to jump through, no retention calls. Your access continues until the end of your billing period.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days of a charge: email hello@haloaware.com and we'll refund it. That's your cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, and our Terms spell it out. Most people never need it, because your family's first paid subscription starts with a 14-day free trial and cancelling during the trial means you're never charged. Outside the 14 days, cancelling stops future charges and you keep access until the end of your billing period; anything beyond that we consider case by case.
