1. We are a Team!
We agree that AI is a cool tool for learning and playing. To keep our digital world safe, we’re going to work together.
2. My Safety Net (Halo Aware)
Keep the Shield Up: I will keep the Halo Aware button on my browser active. It’s like a digital lifeguard that helps me stay in the safe zone.
If I accidentally see something that feels "off," scary, or just plain weird, I will tell a parent right away. I won't get in trouble for being honest! Halo Aware will also let my parents know if I am having a uncomfortable conversation.
3. Super-Smart AI Habits
I know that AI can sometimes tell lies that sound like truths. This is called hallucinating. I’ll double-check big facts with a book, trusted website or my parents.
Keep it Private: I will never tell an AI my real name, where I live, what school I go to, or my phone number. It’s a robot, not a BFF!
Think for Myself: I’ll use AI to help me brainstorm ideas or explain hard homework, but I won’t let it do all the thinking for me.
4. The Parent’s Promise
I Will Listen: If you show me something weird the bot said, I promise to stay calm and help you figure it out. We’ll learn together.
I Will Learn: I’ll try the AI tools with you so I understand how they work!
